Men's Lacrosse Team Rings the Nasdaq Closing Bell as Part of Job Shadow Program

On Jan. 25, the College of the Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team and head coach Judd Lattimore rang the closing bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. The news ran on Fox News, Bloomberg News, CNBC, and in the Telegram & Gazette’s business section and sports section.

The event was part of a job shadowing day with the lacrosse alumni network career mentoring program. Crusader Lax Connect is a career mentorship program whose goal is to connect current lacrosse players with Holy Cross lacrosse alumni across different fields.

This program, geared towards the business community in New York City, has numerous alumni participants including Robert H. McCooey, Jr. '87, senior vice president of Nasdaq’s Listing Services unit; Shaun McGowan '03, vice president and assistant general counsel at JPMorgan Chase; and Hank Prybylski '87, partner at Ernst & Young LLP.

The men’s lacrosse team recently placed first in the nation in the NCAA Division I Team Works Competition presented by Helper Helper in recognition of their commitment to community service.

The Crusaders are coming off a season in which they earned their first ever national ranking (No. 19) by defeating national powers No. 8 Loyola (Md.) and No. 9 Army West Point. The Crusaders also set a school record for Patriot League victories.
