Men's Lacrosse Earns First Patriot League Tournament Bid With Win Over BU

Senior captain Michael Ortlieb, of Newport Beach, Calif., led the Crusaders with 11 saves in front of a crowd of 2,218, as the Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team defeated Boston University, 11-7 on April 22. With the victory, the Crusaders advance to the Patriot League Tournament for the first time in program history.

The game marked the dedication of Kuzniewski Field as Rev. Anthony Kuzniewski, S.J., history professor and longtime chaplain for the Department of Athletics, was honored at halftime for his many years of service to Holy Cross.

Holy Cross will be the No. 6 seed and play at No. 3 seed Bucknell on Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m.
