Worcester Business Journal

Che Anderson ’11 was recently named one of Central Massachusetts’ 2016 Power Players by the Worcester Business Journal. According to the journal, the member of this year’s class of Power Players were selected based on their roles in making changes in the region’s business community.

Anderson was included in the “Next Wave” category, which features "forward thinkers ushering in the new economy." Anderson was recognized for his work both in the Worcester city manager’s office and as a driving force behind POW! WOW! Worcester, a week-long celebration for the arts which brought together international and local artists to create public, street art throughout the city.

When the Worcester Business Journal asked Anderson how public art helps economic development, he said, “Public arts is a visual manifestation of a city’s openness to creative placemaking.”
