Holy Cross President and Alumnus Named as 2018 Power Players by the Worcester Business Journal

Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, S.J., president of the College of the Holy Cross, and Dr. Michael Collins ’77, chancellor of UMass Medical School, were recently named to Worcester Business Journal's annual list of the most powerful people in the Central Massachusetts business community.

According to the publication’s editor Brad Kane, The Power 50 list highlights professionals "who use their positions to have an outsized influence on the business community." Both Fr. Boroughs and Dr. Collins were included in the “Higher Education & Nonprofits” category.

When the Worcester Business Journal asked Fr. Boroughs what advice he would give up-and-comers, he said, "Living in this diverse city, explore local opportunities, discover our region's many resources, and move beyond your comfort zone."
