Anti-Sexist Male Activist to Speak at Annual "Daybreak Breakfast"

WORCESTER, Mass. – The annual "Daybreak Breakfast" will feature a lecture by Jackson Katz, director of the United States Marine Corps Gender Violence Prevention Program and co-creator of the video, "Tough Guise: Media Images and the Crisis on Masculinity," on Monday, Oct. 2, at 7:45 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Hogan Campus Center at Holy Cross.

The event is open to the community as an annual celebration of the important work of this agency. The Daybreak program of the YWCA provides comprehensive services to victims of family violence. The breakfast is a fundraiser and tickets may be purchased for $20.

Katz is one of America's leading anti-sexist male activists. He is widely recognized for his groundbreaking work in the field of gender violence prevention education with men and boys, particularly in the sports culture and the military.
