Poet Willie Perdomo to Give Poetry Reading at Holy Cross

Willie Perdomo will give a poetry reading/performance (lectura y presentación de poesía) on Thursday, March 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Crossroads, located in the basement of the Hogan Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public (gratis y abierto al público).

Perdomo is one of the most important voices to come out of the Nuyorican Poets Café. He is author of "Where a Nickel Costs a Dime." His work has been included in several anthologies, and he is author of the children's book, "Visiting Langston." The recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Fiction Fellowship 1996 and the NYFA Poetry Fellowship 2001, Perdomo has been featured on several PBS documentaries.He also co-wrote an episode for the HBO series, Spicy City, and recorded on "Flippin' the Script: Rap Meets Poetry." He lives in New York City.
