Organist Dong-ill Shin to Perform at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Dong-ill Shin will perform his final organ concert for the Artist Diploma of the Boston Conservatory on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Memorial Chapel at Holy Cross. Part of the Holy Cross Chapel Artists Series, the concert is free and open to the public.

Shin is from Seoul, Korea. He received his "Prix de Virtuosite" from the Paris Conservatory, where he was a student of Olivier Latry and Michel Bouvard. He is presently a candidate for the Artist Diploma at the Boston Conservatory where he is a student of Holy Cross Professor James David Christie.

Shin is the interim organist and director of music at the Jesuit Urban Center (Church of the Immaculate Conception) in Boston's South End. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Korea and Japan.
