Professor David O'Brien to Lead Online Discussion

Chronicle of Higher Education's "Colloquy Live" to Focus on Recent Creation of Conservative Roman Catholic Colleges

David O'Brien, Loyola Professor of Roman Catholic Studies in the history department, will lead the Chronicle of Higher Education's  "Colloquy Live," online discussion at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7. The discussion will focus on "The New Conservative Roman Catholic Colleges."

A member of the Holy Cross faculty since 1969, O'Brien specializes in the history of American Catholicism and contemporary Catholic social and political thought. In addition to countless articles, he is the author of the following books: American Catholics and Social Reform: The New Deal Years, The Renewal of American Catholicism, Renewing the Earth: Catholic Documents on Peace, Justice and Liberation, Faith and Friendship: Catholicism in the Diocese of Syracuse, 1886-1986, Public Catholicism, and Isaac Hecker.
