Fourth Annual Relay for Disaster Relief

Proceeds to Benefit the September 11th Scholarship Fund

As the College community prepares to commemorate the third anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Office of Student Affairs encourages all students, faculty, staff and their families to participate in the fourth annual Relay for Disaster Relief, a campus-wide fundraiser benefiting the Holy Cross September 11th Scholarship Fund.

This year's relay will take place on Friday, Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hart Center Track. (In the event of rain, the race will take place inside at the Fieldhouse.) Participating teams will be asked to run, walk, or skip for 50 laps, keeping one member on the track at all times. Free T-shirts will be handed out to participants on a first come, first served basis. So, start getting your teams together now.

Registration packets may be picked up during the week of Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Hogan 109. Additional information and registration materials will also be available at the Hogan Lobby Tables from Sept. 2 -3, and Sept. 6 - 9 from 1 - 4 p.m.

The September 11th Scholarship Fund provides a Holy Cross education to financially needy surviving children of alumni/ae, firefighters, police and rescue workers killed or permanently disabled due to terrorist attacks or during the rescue activities relating to those attacks.

If you are unable to participate in the race, but would still like to help, donations will be accepted at the Office of Student Affairs (Hogan 109). Please make checks out to the College of the Holy Cross.
