What do you do in a place full of artists, singers, restaurateurs, colleges, educators and community activists? You say that as in all things cool, it's all about what's now, right now.Making the list from the College of the Holy Cross were Andrew Varuzzo ’15, a self-designed environmental studies major, and Daina Harvey, instructor of sociology. They have spent the summer working on an innovative research project that aims to correlate urban tree cover in 166 different areas citywide with important environmental justice issues in Worcester.“Trees are part of the common resources that are shared by everyone so their care and protection benefits everyone,” said Varuzzo. “Worcester is, I think, one of the coolest places to study urban forestry.
