The College of the Holy Cross ranked 13th in a new list of the best and worst college websites for blind students. Published in the Chronicle of Higher Education, the ranking was the result of a study by Jon Gunderson, coordinator of assistive communication and information-technology accessibility at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who reviewed websites at 183 institutions. Gunderson rated sites in six areas to assess their accessibility for blind students, who use screen readers and text-to-speech software to interpret what is displayed on websites.
Holy Cross was the only liberal arts college in the top 25.
