Holy Cross Teams Receive NCAA Public Recognition Awards



WORCESTER, Mass. — Fourteen College of the Holy Cross varsity athletic teams have received Division I Academic Progress Rate public recognition awards from the NCAA. These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort.

With 14 teams receiving academic success honors, Holy Cross tied for the 11th in the nation with Georgetown. Other schools with at least 14 teams receiving public recognition awards include Yale (23), Brown (22), Dartmouth (21), Notre Dame (17), Pennsylvania (17), Bucknell (16), Harvard (16), Lafayette (16), Princeton (16) and Duke (15).
