In a U.S. News & World Report story about professors using Twitter as an academic tool, Daniel Klinghard, associate professor of political science at the College of the Holy Cross, explains his Twitter-inspired assignment, which requires students to summarize political texts in 140 characters or less.

"The assignments were helpful because they forced us to try to condense our thoughts about a particular reading," said Alex Wong '13.  "It made us look at the overall point of the [text]."
