C-SPAN’s BookTV joined Boston-area Holy Cross alumni for a talk by author Diane Brady, whose new book “Fraternity” tells the story of President Emeritus Rev. John E. Brooks, S.J., ’49, and his work in the wake of Martin Luther King Jr.’s death to recruit and mentor African-American students.
In addition to Brady, several alumni including Eddie Jenkins ’72, who is one of the men featured in the book, spoke about their experiences at Holy Cross during the racially-tense late 1960s.
