We at Holy Cross send thoughts and prayers to our neighbors in Newtown, Conn. The Holy Cross community has dozens of members who call Newtown home, and I know many more have relatives and friends who have been profoundly affected by the tragic events there. On behalf of our entire community, I extend our deepest sympathy to those whose family and friends have lost their lives or their loved ones.
In addition, I wish all members of our community comfort and peace in the days ahead.
As a nation and society, we have much to reflect upon in the wake of this violence and loss. May we collectively find the wisdom and strength to prevent this from happening again.
