The Holy Cross Music Department Announces the Fall 2014 Concert Series

September 4th, 2014 by

The music department at the College of the Holy Cross will kick off its fall concert schedule on Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by the newly appointed Artists-in Residence Adam Golka, piano, Saul Bitran, violin, and Jan Müller-Szeraws, cello, in the Brooks Concert Hall. The program will open with a virtuoso duo for violin and cello by the Norwegian violinist, conductor and composer Johan Halvorsen. It will continue with two of Chopin’s widely-beloved masterpieces, “Third Ballade” and “First Scherzo” for piano solo, and close with one of the great masterpieces of Beethoven’s chamber music output: “His Archduke Trio.”

The concert series will include the following musical performances on campus throughout the fall semester. All events are free and open to the public. For additional information, please contact the music department events line at 508-793-3503.
