Blog: McSweeney ’21 Eager to Show What Life is Like at Holy Cross

NAME Rebecca McSweeney '21

HOMETOWN Stoughton, Mass.

STUDIES SHE'S CONSIDERING Biology major

WHY SHE CHOSE HOLY CROSS "I first heard about Holy Cross through a family friend. What really convinced me that Holy Cross was the perfect school for me, however, was when I came for Accepted Students Day, and spent some time exploring the campus by myself. I found it incredibly easy for me to picture myself as a student at Holy Cross; I cannot wait to spend the next four years being just that!"

ACTIVITIES Theatre department production of “The Skin of Our Teeth,” Alternate College Theater (ACT), admissions outreach volunteer, Fall Gateways Orientation Leader

WHAT SHE’S MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO “I am so excited to get involved with new opportunities, and meet new people.”

WHY SHE’S BLOGGING “As someone who read the student blogs during the college search process, I recognize the value in an honest, firsthand account of what life is like at a school. These accounts can be especially helpful when the person giving them has some of the same interests as you. I believe that my combination of interests will allow people wondering about various aspects of life at Holy Cross to find something meaningful in my blog.”
