Madelaine Lane, College of the Holy Cross graduate of 2004 and current partner at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has found a way to pursue a career in law while still performing her passion: opera. Lane found her love for opera while studying political science at Holy Cross, where she received singing lessons and took part in several performances. Lane credits time management and modern technology in making this balance possible: by working remotely while in New York, she can manage her role as a litigator in white-collar criminal defense with the demanding schedule of the fine arts.
“Every performance opportunity is a blessing,” Lane said. “I get to sing in the evening and go to work in the morning. I am truly lucky.”
