Photos: Holy Cross Named Among Most Beautiful College Campuses in the Country

Conde Nast Traveler puts Holy Cross on its list for 2018

Conde Nast Traveler agrees, as it named Holy Cross one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country.

They said: "Holy Cross looks like it employs a landscaper round the clock to maintain its gorgeous grounds — be it the tiered lawn in front of ivy-covered Fenwick Hall, a 19th-century Revival-style building that houses admissions and is on the National Register of Historic Places, or the tulip-fronted entrance gate in spring. Remember that this is a New England college, though, so it’s at its finest in the fall, when you feel like you should pay a fee just to walk the grounds as the leaves change."

Here, the places Conde Nast mentioned:

“ … tiered lawn in front of ivy-covered Fenwick Hall … ”

“ … tulip-fronted entrance gate in spring … ”

“ … a New England college … at its finest in the fall … ”

While we agree that these are some of the most gorgeous spots on campus, we can think of a few more worth pointing out.

It's hard to picture Holy Cross without the iconic Fenwick spires, beautiful against a night sky.

With sky-high columns and grand marble stairs, Dinand Library peeks out from behind a blooming spring tree.

An eye-level perspective of the O'Kane clock tower offers a sprawling view of a snow-covered Worcester.

A glimpse of St. Joseph Memorial Chapel stands out against a wash of bright spring flowers.

Nestled in the trees, the Thomas P. Joyce '59 Contemplative Center erupts with light at night time.

Characteristic of the remarkable detail found across campus, a window is wrapped in fall-colored ivy.

Angled from the side, Fenwick Hall looks magical blanketed in snow.
