It was a beautiful, sunny morning as the newly minted Class of 2023 received a hearty welcome to their home for the next four years.
Hailing from 36 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and seven countries, the bright-eyed students were greeted by current students, faculty, staff and alumni who unpacked cars and carried bags to residence halls.
“I was a little nervous coming into Move-In Day, but it was electric and the atmosphere was great — it was very welcoming,” says Marco Spotaro ’23.
Student volunteers—who not that long ago were moving in themselves — were thrilled to help welcome the new class.
“I enjoy helping out on Move-In Day because it’s all about love — everyone is so happy, so bubbly,” says Karie Magloire ’20, a history major with a concentration in Africana studies. “It brings me so much joy to make everyone so happy.”
