Please share a turning point or significant memory from your time at Holy Cross.

My first-year trip to L’Arche Mobile through the Spring Break Immersion Program was the first place that I felt like I truly belonged at Holy Cross. I have never connected with a group of people so fast, including with the community members we were visiting. There was no need to be anyone except my most authentic self. I learned so much about myself, others, and God, and I met my best friend on that trip.

Name two or three lessons from Holy Cross that you’ll take with you after leaving Mount St. James.

Through the liberal arts education, Holy Cross taught me how to think creatively and approach problems from many different perspectives. My Environmental Studies minor was interdisciplinary so it helped me develop this skill. I will also take with me the value of the friendships that I made. From the support in my classes to the incredible memories, they are the ones that made Holy Cross what it was for me.

What’s next?

I will be getting a master’s degree in marine biology from Northeastern University.
