“Life-changing experience” may be an overused expression, but it’s difficult to come up with a more accurate description of what students experience when they participate in Holy Cross’ Arrupe Immersion Program.
For nearly 20 years, the program has provided Holy Cross students the opportunity to witness first-hand the reality of life in Mexico, Jamaica and Kenya by visiting with and learning from people in poor and marginalized communities.
Students participating in the Mexico program May 31 through June 14 will share their experiences through this online diary. Read about the people they meet and the places they visit, and journey with them as they reflect and pray about how the experiences touched and challenged them. Students will be accompanied by Katherine M. McElaney ’76, director of the Office of the College Chaplains.
